10 Bad Things dat r good for us



I got this information from Reader's Digest (september 2008). I found it interesting and that's y i intend to share it with u guys. But, beware !. Although it comes from an expert researchers all over the world, it may not suits to everyone. It depends very much on that particular person.


1) Listening to loud music

~* ther r scientific proof dat the greater e music's intensity e more pleasure it brings. Me myself do agree wif e above statement cuz i used to listen to loud & hard music to express my anger. BUT it is not recommended cuz we as a Muslim, r encouraged to take ablution & read al-quran in order to release our tension, anger and etc.

2) Texting, not talking

~* A survey by YouGov, an international internet-based market research firm , found dat 43 percent of respondents felt mobile phones improved family communication. it could allow them to keep in touch wif their parents while maintaining their own space.

3) Pounding the pavements

~* a new study shows dat those who regularly run r actually less likely to develop the osteoarthritis than those who don't.

4) Being a bit overweight


~* older people who r overweight have greater nutritional reserves that helps carry them thru bouts of ill health.

5) Full fat diary


~* those who consumed the most full fat diary were 63% less likely to develop "metabolic syndrome", a cluster of symptoms such as high blood pressure, blood lipids, glucose levels dat can lead to diabetic & stroke.


dis is my favourite drink. without it i may not
sleep soundly. e aroma, e taste ouh really tempting..

6) Caffeine

~* coffee may combating or delaying e development of Parkinson's disease in men. Also it can affect ur mood & enhance e performance of an athletes. well, i do agree with dis. i enjoy drinking cappucino & i don mind if i have to spend a lot of money juz to buy a single cup of it. Between money n cappucino..of course the latter 1 should prevail in order to satisfy my apetite..but remember..Islam promotes moderation. so don take too much ok! i guess 2 cups in 1 day is enuf..=)

7) Booze


~* ( i don agree with dis cuz Islam strictly prohibits drinking wine as it gives more harm than e benefit.)

8) Computer games


~* Researchers have found dat kids who clock up regular console time can improve their hand-eye coordination , their grip on science & even their IQ

9) Sugary soft drink


~* a study from e Uni.of Texas found dat those who regularly drank diet soft drinks were far more likely to become overweight that those drinking the same amount of non diet drink

10) Being a working Mum

~* women who combine carrier with marriage and motherhood r less likely to have poor health than those who stay at home or have no children.
